Baroque Bistro

Just look at my scrumptious dessert the I had on the weekend at Baroque, a French Bistro in The Rocks. It was a chocolate dome with a rich chocolate ganache inside & topped with the most perfect mini Macaron. Rich? Yes. Did I eat the entire thing? You bet I did!

We also had a plate of different flavoured Macarons, but we got stuck into them so quickly that nobody thought to take a photo - oops! My pick? The Strawberry & Vanilla Macaron.

The main meals were to die for as well. We didn't just eat desserts! Mmmm I'm hanging to go back there.

French Larkspur

Some of you may already know Tracey's blog, French Larkspur. If you don't, it's well worth a visit as she is extremely creative & talented. She creates the most wonderful tablescapes and inspires me with every new post! Tracey also has an online store where I recently bought a set of beautiful French tea towels. She packaged them so lovingly that I just had to share some pics with you...

The tea towels were wrapped in romantic white tissue paper, tied with string with a page on top from a vintage French book as well as lavender (which smelt divine) and a hand written thank you note on a card made from a vintage French envelope. The package also contained lots of little butterflies cut from pages of a French book. So thoughtful!

Thank you Tracey, I'm just delighted. They were much larger than I expected too!

Father's Day in the Hunter Valley ~ Part 1

Sunday was Father's Day in Australia and I spent it with my family in the Hunter Valley which is a beautiful wine region 2 hours drive North of Sydney (and inland a bit). I love the Hunter Valley.

Here are a few pictures I took while hubby drove us around to all the wineries and fromageries!

Mmmmm, this is my favourite cheese shop, Binnorie Dairy, where I picked up some marinated goats fetta and a lovely fromage frais.

Dad had a lovely day being chauffered around. He's been in hospital the past week having an operation, so he needed a bit of R&R.

Spring has Sprung!

The first day of Spring has finally sprung in Australia! Spring is my favourite season, so I'm very excited. I thought I would celebrate with some images from Alannah Hill's Spring/Summer collection. Her website reminds me of Spring every time I see it. Just delightful!
